The Central South Consortium recognises the importance of governors and the key role that they play in supporting and challenging their schools. To support them in this valuable role Central South Consortium is, from September 2016, delivering the mandatory training sessions for governors. Alongside these mandatory sessions the Consortium will also deliver a number of sessions which are pertinent to their role in school improvement. The termly briefings which proved very useful last year will continue and the themes of these will again focus on priorities related to school improvement and the work of the Consortium.
The priority for the Governor Support & Development Team is to strengthen governance throughout the South East Wales Consortium.

For access to courses please contact your Local Authority Governor Support Officer for a user name and password. Each time you access the site thereafter, your work will be logged and on completion a certificate demonstrating proof of that will be issued in your name.

your Governor Dashboard – visit elearning.fft.org.uk to register. Simple tests, interactive graphs and examples help you to get to grips with dashboard data and support and challenge your school. The e-learning tool consists of an Essentials module and an additional module for each of the Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 4 Governor Dashboards.
