The North Wales Economic Ambition Board (NWEAB), with partner organisations in North Wales, is able to provide primary schools with new, original and innovative “ACT ON STEM” / “CAMAU STEM” classroom resources for KS2.
Working with employers from key sectors across North Wales, the NWEAB has lead the development of new STEM focused KS2 classroom resources, accompanied by an original and inspirational short film, to add regional value and STEM context to existing national curriculum materials and not replace. These classroom materials have been developed with local employers to inspire and engage KS2 pupils further on the value and relevance of STEM skills for their future jobs and careers in North Wales.
Teachers are crucial in developing and inspiring children and young people to become the scientists and engineers of the future, and therefore we need to provide teachers with appropriate support resources to; inspire and retain our future regional workforce and be able to demonstrate the value, relevance and potential of STEM subjects. “ACT ON STEM” is about building careers awareness within a local context at primary age, and is part of a clear STEM pathway solution for North Wales.
