Frequently Asked Questions

An elected governor’s term of office is ending next week, can they carry on if the governing body agrees?

Once the term of office has ended for elected governors (parent, teacher and staff), then the school must go through the election process and seek nominations. It is best practice if the election process is carried out a few weeks prior to the term of office ending, to ensure that there are no meetings where there are vacancies.
